There are tens of thousands of miles of railroad track in the United States, most of which need weed control. The Asplundh Railroad Division of Willow Grove (PA), the nations largest railroad vegetation management contractor, has successfully used the Sensors to treat thousands of miles of track, weed by weed. Asplundh uses the NTech Industries VDC05 cartridges in conjunction with the Sensors on its fleet of spray trains and hi-rail spray-trucks. This NTech Industries combination allows day and night spraying, and when integrated with Aspludh's proprietary computer controller, allows for applications to be made at up to 30 mph, a threefold increase over conventional spraying techniques!
